Grooming
The Sokoke cat has a very short, mild-shed coat, and does not require much at all in terms of grooming. As they dislike much handling, you might be best off putting your grooming efforts toward nail trims and cleaning their teeth rather than brushing.
Train your kitten how to be handled from a young age and these routines won’t present quite so much of a challenge when your kitty reaches adulthood. You can also get your Sokoke a harness and leash and go for a stroll around the neighborhood. Just be prepared for plenty of attention!
Temperament
The Sokoke is a highly energetic cat that is quite agile and playful and can pass most of their day running, climbing, jumping, and just enjoying themselves. While they are affectionate and devoted cats, they aren’t necessarily lap cats. They would rather follow you around and have an interesting conversation with you.
Sokokes are exceptionally intelligent, so you can expect them to take a keen interest in everything that’s going on. This includes greeting guests at the door. They have even been compared to dogs due to their devotion and sociability.
Health
Sokoke cats have a reputation for enjoying robust good health, and to date, there are no known genetic issues with the breed. They are not well developed in terms of immune systems, as they have little or no resistance to common diseases that affect almost every cat. It’s very important to provide routine vaccinations and regular checkups, and to prevent contact between Sokoke cats and unvaccinated felines.
Feeding
Even though Sokoke kittens have no special nutritional needs, they thrive on a high-quality diet. If you’re not feeding fresh food, look for a brand that provides ample protein and few carbohydrates. Ensure that real meat or fish – not a filler – is the main ingredient. In addition, ensure that you’re feeding food that’s appropriate for your cat’s life stage.
Hel is Sold
I have purchased from other breeders over the years, but never one who took such strides not only to raise a healthy, beautiful baby, but to communicate and “be there” for the new Mama, both before and after purchase.
Dante Found a Family

We dedicate our everything into breeding this quality. It's very important to handle them from birth in the family way and arena before they go to their new family to ensure a sweet loving companion cat. Some breeders do not do this and keep them in cages. This produces a very shy and unfriendly cat afraid of their own shadow. The kittens are never in cages and are very healthy and robust, full of life and vitality. They breed for profits.
My kittens are trained to be very socialized and its your responsibility to make sure he or she stays that way through adulthood. They are snuggled, kissed and brushed. This ensures a sweet and lovable kitten that is not shy or afraid of people because they have been groomed to be friendly.
